Singing lessons for beginners

Where to start?
Are you curious about what your voice can really do? Maybe friends tell you that you “should do something with your voice” — or perhaps someone once told you that you can’t sing (I strongly disagree!). Whatever brought you here, remember: singing is for everyone, and everyone can learn.

Yes! Everyone can sing.
With personal attention and expert guidance, you’ll learn to sing in tune, develop your tone quality, control your breathing, and grow in confidence step by step. My lessons focus on building solid technical skills while working on songs you want to sing — so you stay motivated, make progress you can hear, and enjoy the journey from the very start!
Are singing lessons for you?

Absolutely. Singing lessons aren’t just for the confident or the experienced. They’re for anyone who wants to explore their voice. Maybe you’ve never had a lesson before. Maybe you sang as a child and stopped. Maybe you feel unsure, or think your voice isn’t strong enough. Wherever you’re starting from, lessons give you the space to grow.

For more experienced singers, lessons are a place to refine technique, expand range, and deepen artistry. Advanced students and professionals benefit from targeted coaching that strengthens stamina, hones style, and prepares you for performance, auditions, or recording.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned performer, lessons are tailored to your needs and goals. You’ll build skills step by step in a supportive setting, growing in confidence and discovering the freedom to sing with clarity and expression.
What You’ll Learn in Singing Lessons.

Singing lessons are your chance to explore what your voice can really do. Using Estill Voice Training as a foundation, you’ll gain the technique, stamina, and control to sing with ease — while also discovering the freedom to express yourself fully.

Each lesson blends craft and artistry: from developing breath control and extending your range to shaping songs with colour, style, and emotion. You’ll learn how to connect with music in a way that feels authentic and powerful, so your voice makes the impact you want it to.

Whether you’re preparing for auditions, working toward exams, or simply singing for joy, lessons are designed around your goals. The focus is always on helping you grow, gain confidence, and uncover the individual sound that sets you apart.
Your voice is unique — and your training should be too.
What Kind of Music Can You Sing?

Whatever inspires you! Many students choose Musical Theatre, Pop, or Rock, while others enjoy exploring Jazz and Folk, including Irish traditional music. Some also dive into Art Song and Classical repertoire.

Lessons are shaped around the styles you love, while also giving you the tools to expand into new genres and grow as a versatile singer.
Sing the music you love — and discover new styles along the way.
Where Do You Attend Lessons?

Lessons take place in my singing studio in Maynooth, County Kildare, with occasional openings in Central London. For students and clients further afield, many choose to connect through Zoom lessons, making high-quality vocal training accessible wherever you are.
